And so I'm home. It's been interesting so far, lots of biking, hanging with the boy, seeing some people around here, being lazy, doing some crafts. Every day I remember more of my issues with Long Island. But, hey, it happens, and this is where I am.
The search for a summer job continues. I'm waiting to hear back from Barnes & Noble, and will be inquiring at Jones Beach and possibly Nassau Coliseum to see if they need more people for set up/take down of the concerts and stuff. and continuing to troll Craigslist.
Lifecycle is next week. I fly out to San Fran on Friday. I'm really excited, but also terrified. I have no idea if I'm ready, but I guess i'll have to be. It should be a fantastic experience, and I am feeling a lot better about it now that I got my bike fit for me and have been riding more. 545 miles, here I come!
I'll post more soon, probably with pics of the wallets I made and the sonic needlepoint I'm working on.....

Well, I am in the process of rolling out of whatever abyss I have fallen into and am jumping back on the blog circuit. I'm thinking of taking a new direction with this journal, and using friends only entries for things like rants on life, or personal stuff, and then making public posts with things I find interesting, or projects I've done, and stuff of the like. I figure it's worth a try.

As some of you know, I've gotten really into crafting, particularly needlepoint, but also jewelry and stencil making when I get the chance. Merging all this with theatre has been proving interesting, but I'm a dork at heart and there's nothing like sitting in a rehearsal for Sweeney Todd and working on a needlepoint of a goomba. Speaking of goomba, I've finished most of my small series of NES Mario sprite needlepoints, and I'll be posting pictures of the framed results later when I remember to take a picture. I'm really happy with how they've turned out, and I definitely plan on making more when I find other sprites I'm interested in. I'm taking requests, since I always need new projects, so if you have any suggestions (I've mainly been doing sprites based on 8-bit stuff), post them, and send me a message or comment with your address so I can get it to you after it's made.

Fun stuff. Meanwhile, life has been pretty amusing, splitting my time between Sweeney rehearsals, where I'm an ASM and doing fun stuff with prop tracking and scene shifts and then making awesome paperwork (which I love..yes, I did say I was a dork) and CAD drawings (still a dork), playing D&D with the friends, and prepping to build the show I'm TDing, while also starting some crazy bike training for AIDS/Lifecycle. Have I mentioned I love my bike? She's beautiful, but needs a name. I wish I was more creative on the naming front, but alas, I will probably look to character names from favourite books, much like I do for my WoW characters.

Wow, this is pretty chunky update. And there shall be more to follow soon, along with pretty pictures.
